Round Rock Express, Techturn Host High-Tech Recycle Day
ROUND ROCK, Texas – In association with Earth Day, the Round Rock Express announced Thursday a partnership with TechTurn of Austin for a high-tech recycle day at The Dell Diamond. The event will take place Saturday, July 24, from 1 p.m. CDT until first pitch at 7:05 p.m. as the Express host the Iowa Cubs.
Fans are encouraged to bring technology items to The Dell Diamond to be recycled and recovered by TechTurn. Technology items accepted include desktop computers, laptops, notebooks, netbooks, printers, cell phones, smart phones (iphone, Blackberry, Palm, etc.) and LCD monitors. Household appliances, audio systems and televisions are not accepted.
For each item, fans will receive four free tickets along with a coupon for 25 percent off merchandise at the Railyard, the official merchandise store of the Round Rock Express.
“This is a great way for our fans to help the environment and get a little something in return,” Express founder and CEO Reid Ryan said. “We are thrilled about this partnership with TechTurn as we strive to make Round Rock a green community.”
